Top 5 American universities

Harvard University

Once home to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Harvard University is often cited as the best university in the world. So it comes as no surprise that it is at the top of this list of best American universities.

Harvard is the oldest university in the country, founded in 1636 by him. The campus is just outside Boston, Massachusetts. About 2,000 students enroll each year.

Of course, the battle for number one is fierce. The acceptance rate is about 4%, some of which are from outside the United States.

These US universities are considered top 10 academically. However, please note that we may not be able to provide sufficient financial support. Also, they may not even excel at the subject you choose. This is a broad ranking based on selected criteria.

Unfortunately, the US higher education system does not benefit from central institutions (such as her UCAS in the UK). Therefore, you should do thorough research before applying to any US university.

Stanford University

Stanford University is located in the California Bay Area near Silicon Valley. The campus spans 8,180 acres, making it the largest in the United States.

The university is nicknamed the ‘Billionaire Factory’. With alumni like Google founder Sergey Brin and Larry Page, it lives up to its name. If university graduates founded their own country, it boasts one of the ten largest economies in the world.

It has a low acceptance rate of about 4% and admits just over 2,000 students a year.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

MIT is near Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1861, MIT is one of the top US schools for engineering and applied sciences. Notable alumni include Buzz Aldrin and Dropbox founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi.

Science and technology are at the heart of this university, but the MIT campus is brimming with culture and the arts. There are 12 museums that attract over 100,000 visitors each year! And one of his five of his students joins his one on the sports team.

Just over 4% of applicants are accepted into MIT. As a result, about 1,300 students study here each year.

The University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley)

The University of California, Berkeley is near San Francisco and Silicon Valley. UC Berkeley receives more applications than most other universities in the United States. In 2020, over 88,000 people applied to study here.

The university admits about 15,000 students each year with an acceptance rate of about 17.5%.

UC Berkeley is home to several world-renowned research facilities, including the Space Science Laboratory. And with over 350 different courses, it’s not hard to see why so many students apply to this university. Top universities in America

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

UCLA, as you might have guessed, is located in Los Angeles, California. It is one of America’s most popular colleges. In 2020, we received more applications than any other university (almost 110,000!).

With an acceptance rate of about 14%, UCLA admits about 15,000 freshmen each year.

Near Hollywood. It’s no wonder, then, that UCLA’s schools of theater, film, and television produce world-renowned alumni. For example, Steve Martin, Mila Kunis, and Jack Black all graduated from UCLA. Top universities in America
